The Esophageal Atresia training module provides a realistic laparoscopic simulation of this condition in infants. It features a silicone model that accurately replicates the pediatric trachea, upper and lower esophagus, and includes a simulated azygos vein. The silicone material mimics the connective tissue that needs to be dissected to access the esophagus and trachea. Surgeons can practice closing the abnormal connection (fistula) between the esophagus and trachea and suturing the upper and lower parts of the esophagus together.
